A method for transforming a digital document into an optimized agent document format comprising receiving the digital document; parsing a document structure of the digital document to identify textual content and visual formatting; extracting semantic content from the textual content; normalizing the extracted semantic content; filtering out the visual formatting; and structuring the normalized semantic content into a plurality of hierarchical machine-readable components to generate the optimized agent document format.
The method of claim 1, further comprising transmitting the optimized agent document format to an artificial intelligence agent; and executing, by the artificial intelligence agent, a document analysis task using the plurality of hierarchical machine-readable components to perform at least one of information retrieval, summarization, reasoning, or data extraction.
The method of claim 1, further comprising identifying an embedded image and scanned text within the digital document during the parsing of the document structure; and performing optical character recognition on the scanned text to extract the semantic content.
